Kurt Freytag

Bio

Coach Kurt Freytag is a Business Educator at Cathedral High School and a Varsity Assistant Coach, currently serving as the program’s Special Teams Coordinator. Since joining Cathedral Football in 2021, he has coached a wide range of position groups—including linebackers, outside linebackers, tight ends, wide receivers, running backs, and kickers/specialists—giving him a well-rounded, whole-team view of player development. Coach Freytag also serves as the Site Coordinator for Cathedral’s Next Level Flag Football program, bringing a high-energy, fundamentals-first approach that builds skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game in a fun, competitive environment.
